Sorry for the mass email, but bad things have happened to Terrible Eagle in Napoli.
We are on tour in Italy at the moment and when
we woke up this morning,all of our stuff was stolen.
This means we lost 4 drum machine/samplers, countless pedals, a Fender Jaguar guitar, a synth, all our mics and cables, some cymbals, and a few other things as well.
Clearly, we live our lives to make music and this means countless hours of programming drum machines and practicing.
Its a real bummer when someone rips out your heart...
Anyway, we are continuing with the rest of the tour playing an acoustic set with drums (they left the drums thank god.) BUT,when we get back to Hamburg,we have to keep on keepin on.
So I ask you, if you happen to have any spare musical equipment of any kind- drum machine,sampler,pedal, mixer,a guitar cable,an XLR cable,a MIDI cable,anything- we could really use it.
We have to start all over and figure out our next steps.

Xeno and Oaklander are based in Brooklyn, NY. They began writing music in 2004. Miss Liz Wendelbo is French / Norwegian and Sean McBride is from Maryland. They record their songs live in their studio and play analogue synthesizers and instruments exclusively.

The music of the Brooklyn-based group Xeno & Oaklander seems to come from an earlier time, when the beeps and whirs of the analog synthesizer began to creep up from the underground into the mainstream of pop music (or drag it down to the depths, if you prefer). The late 70s and early 80s synth music from which their work draws was a reaction to the sense of the alienation brought about by living in world that was becoming more and more digital. Sean McBride and Liz Wendlbo, the duo behind the project, still find these sounds relevant today, in both theme and means. Xeno & Oaklander excavate a forgotten music, re-imagining its forms for the present with a defiant and romantic nostalgia. Their debut album Sentinelle, out now on Wierd records, is a testament to their skill at shaping electricity and is overflowing with icy drones ,oscillating tones, and excellent (and danceable) songwriting.

Led er est was formed in early 2007 by Samuel Kklovenhoof and Shawn NoEQ. Drawing from the dire textures of first-wave industrial music, the craftsmanship and ambience of postpunk and coldwave, and the primal kineticism of old school house and techno, the project was initially more of an outlet for song fragments and delirious baubles. As their sound took a more structured turn towards the end of 2007, Owen Stokes was recruited. Led er est strives towards that which is otherworldy and alien(ating), but also immediate and infectious. Their live performance is raw and unhinged, at times leaning towards the improvisatory, but ultimately rooted in traditional songcraft.
